Formed in 2018 by Steve Mathewson TMIFPO, with over 40 years’ experience working in the Architectural profession, on a wide variety of large commercial, industrial and domestic projects, covering all aspects of project design and management.
Technical membership of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and a NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, bring particular experience to complex projects that require a considered input in terms of dealing with fire safety, such as warrant applications based on alternative guidance, or assisting with fabric condition surveys where upgrading fire safety precautions is a general concern or direct element of the brief.
I have particular experience in the following areas:
- dealing with managing the assembly and quality control of pre-construction information, and other aspects of CDM and general Health and Safety
- carrying out fire risk assessments for clients
- overseeing the fire strategies of design projects prior to planning applications and building warrants
- producing specifications on both NBS Building and, more recently, using NBS Create, on a varied range of projects, from laboratories, commercial and industrial premises.
- all aspects of CAD drawing and management using AutoCAD.
- some experience of drawing and managing BIM 3D projects using Revit.
